Waking Dreams

When I close my eyes I can be with you.
For in my dreams, It's only two of us.
Bodies apart, But together in spirit.
Whatever comes I've no need to fear it.
For I always have you to protect me.
Care for me, Love me and keep me happy.
You warm my heart and bring peace to my soul,
To be with you is my ultimate goal.
But sometimes I cannot help but wonder,
It is only some spell I am under?
Are you just in my imagination?
Are you my own little private creation?
Somehow I you're more than a memory,
I know you will come back and set me free.

Simply

Life began like a rise from sleep.
up to joy, from the womb of earth.
The sun flies up and smiles hugely.
The lavender's climb up, Brims with sweet smell.
Bursting the buds of deep red roses.
Their dew mingles and feeds the ground's draught
while men tumble in, trampling
and gaping amazement. but it is simply spring.

A Wider Hell

The choices that we make are always hard
but guns and butter that are should not be
as difficult even an aristocral fool can see
that few wars are worth the young lives marred
and the kindred sitting outside the yard
weeping hot tears that could fill up a sea
then there are those with minds and bodies scarred
we see them begging on the winter street
their rags of uniform no longer the clean proud
symbol of a democracy with values of bright gold
in each face there's a personal defeat
that tell us volumes though not one is loud
and all they ask is shelter from the cold.

Hitting Rewind

Everyday, thoughts of you fill up my mind.
And I can't stand the pain that you cause me.
But if somehow I could just Hit Rewind,
I'd cross out my eyes so I couldn't see
all that you did to go further away
from where I stood, watching you all alone.
I'd have given the world for you to stay.
But you walked away with a heart of stone,
These lonely nights, I cry myself to sleep
To replay the day my world fell apart.
Oh, how I wish that somehow I could keep
a front and foremost place inside you heart.
I'm dying inside, you're all think of.
But I gues what you felt was far from love...

I Love You

I love you and I love you tomorrow
I love you but I can't find a words I want to say,
but I look for ways to show it each and every day.
with every glance that drifts your way just know
there's more love for you than I could ever hope to show.
as my sunny outlook begins to turn dark and grey,
I writhe as my feelings for you begin to fray.
I remember the joy you gave me along with the sorrow.
I remember the pain and suffering my heart took.
Laying in bed waiting for my heart to take it's las beat.
Preparing for the next day to mask this with a smiling face.
waiting for you to text; my phone to beep.
My feelings received more pain that it should
I lay there praying that tomorrow's a better place....

Searching for the right words
to describe this feeling
of loneliness in this dark world

Searching for the right answers
to wash away my questions
about pain in this dark world

Searching for friends
to tell my story and ask my questions
but there's nobody...

I Tried a Million Times




I've tried a million and one times, to hide the pain inside,
But my eyes always betray me, stained with the tears I've cried
A thousand distant memories, for a thousand distant dreams,
Never knowing yet always known, nothings ever what it seems.

An image portrayed in public, a mask to hide behind,
A futile search for happiness, where there's none for me to find,
There has to be a reason, a reason for such pain,
My mind begins to take me back, and I feel it again and again .

How I wish my past was brighter, filled with love instead of fear,
For the sadness casts a shadow, over today, right now, right here,
And it holds the reins to my future, or the future I once had,
But I don't wish to live a future, a future that's only sad.

I've prayed to god a million times, for a million different ends,
But instead of taking me in his arms, its another new day he sends,
So I try and smile through it, be the best that I can be,
But this breaking heart that I carry, is really killing me.

I can fight this cancer within me, as to live another day,
Be a mother to my children, for that's the only way,
But for just once in my whole lifetime, I've felt a love so rare,
And through sadness and confusion this love thinks I don't care.

I can say I'm sorry a thousand times, and mean each word I say,
But I can't replace the anger, that I hurt you in this way,
So I ask for your forgiveness, please try and understand,
I won't and can't replace the love, I felt when you held my hand,
So I fight to keep you near me, my heart breaking more each day,
I wish I knew how, how to love you the right way.
